Abstract |
|
Shugāʿ Bin Fāres Al-Dhuhulī is a distinguished historian whose contributions to Islamic History are significant. In the research, we delve into one of his works: the Postscript on the book of al-Khaṭīb al-Baghdādī “Tar ͐ īkh Madīnat al-Salām”, “The History of the City of Peace”. This Postscript contains intriguing biographies that have not been recorded in other sources. The research also sheds light on his bibliography and other works. The historical methodology has been applied by analysing some sources and previous studies. The main finding is that the Postscript of Shugāʿ Bin Fāres Al-Dhuhulī was a major source of Baghdad scholars as the contemporary and subsequent sources cited it.
