This study aims to collect and analyze the plant, geometric, and inanimate motifs of the covering of the Kaaba throughout different eras. It also aims to create modern decorative designs inspired by the motifs of the Kaabas covering, using various design techniques, and employing them in the production of gifts for delegations using modern materials and employing computerized embroidery techniques. The evaluation of these designs was conducted by specialists in the field of clothing and fashion design from the faculty members (12) of the Department of Art Education at King Faisal University and Department of Fashion Design at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. In this research, the historical approach was followed in tracing the motifs of the Kaaba throughout history, the descriptive method was used in describing and analyzing the motifs of the covering, and the applied method was used in applying innovative decorative designs and implementing them in the gifts for delegations. The research tools included photography, books and scientific references, websites, scanning, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator software, which were used in processing and analyzing the motif. The research resulted in answering its questions regarding identifying the types of plant, geometric, and inanimate motifs of the Kaabas covering throughout different eras, utilizing different design techniques in creating decorative designs for developed pieces inspired by the motifs of the Kaabas covering, and the possibility of employing these developed decorative designs in creating gifts for delegations using modern materials and techniques, such as computerized embroidery. The study also made recommendations, including paying attention to the old covering of the Kaaba and utilizing it by dismantling it and extracting the plant, geometric, and inanimate decorative parts and using them in creating artistic pieces suitable as gifts for delegations visiting the Kingdom. It also recommended designing and producing modern commemorative gifts for visitors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the seasons of Hajj, Umrah, and religious tourism, with the gifts bearing both a religious and national emblem. Furthermore, it recommended delving into the study and analysis of decorative sources as a source of inspiration and moving away from direct imitation and replication to open up possibilities for further decorative innovation.
