The Impact of the Hour of Coding Program on Motivation and Attitude Towards Learning Programming Among Female Students in Middle and High School in Riyadh City

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the impact of practicing an hour of coding on motivation and attitude towards learning programming among female students in middle and high schools in Riyadh. The study population consisted of female students in middle and high school in Riyadh, where a sample of (101) students was randomly selected. Structural equation modeling through (Smart PLS) was used to analyze the research data. The results of the study showed that the hour of coding program has great importance from the perspective of the students in terms of developing their programming skills in general. The results also showed that the program greatly contributed to forming positive attitudes toward learning programming and increased their motivation towards learning programming. In addition, the findings of the study showed that the variable of students attitudes towards learning programming has significantly mediated the relationship between the two variables, the hour of programming and students motivation towards learning.
