Psychometric Properties of the Children’s Phonological Awareness Assessment

Abstract
The current study aims to investigate the psychometric properties of the childrens phonological awareness assessment. The study sample included (80) boys and girls, who were selected by (40) boys and girls from the (Aldawa Islamic Private School), and a sample of (40) boys and girls from the (Ibn Sina Private School) was applied to them with a phonological perception scale ranging in age from 5 to 8 years. The study concluded that the phonological awareness assessment, which was prepared in the current study, has a high degree of validity and reliability, which confirms the validity of this scale for use in the Egyptian and Arab environment, and this is what makes us confident in the results that can be reached in future studies related to the study of phonological awareness I have children when used to this assessment.
