Abstract
The present research paper aims to assess the availability of technological social services at social care institutions for people with disabilities. It defines the role and obstacles facing the social worker in providing these services. It also makes suggestions and develops a proposal based on the general practice of social work for improving services. The author adopted the descriptive analytical approach and utilized the questionnaire for data collection. The results showed that the technological social services at the social care institutions for people with disabilities are moderate and below level. The social worker plays a considerable role but faces high obstacles in offering technological social services. The results also revealed some challenges, such as preparing a guide and training manual for social workers on handling information sources and assistive technology devices. The study recommends holding training courses for in-service social workers on information services to develop and equip them with the necessary skills, especially in modern techniques for people with disabilities.
