Abstract |
|
The results of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) under non-isothermal conditions on chalcogenide Ge12As23Te65-xSnx (x = 0, 2 and 4 at. %) glasses were reported and discussed. The dependence of the characteristic temperatures (glass transition temperature (Tg), the crystallization onset temperature (Tc) and the crystallization peak temperature (Tp)) on the heating rate () has been utilized to determine the activation energy for the glass transition (Eg), the activation energy for crystallization (Ec) and the Avramis exponent. Furthermore, the obtained results were discussed in terms of the chemical bond approach, the average heat of atomization and the cohesive energy (CE). |
