Abstract |

There is a growing interest in content-centric networking which is a new networking paradigm where the content itself
becomes the core of communications rather than the address or location. Content-centric networking is greatly useful to increase the
content availability and the efficiency of content delivery. Currently, the content-centric networking architecture is at an early stage,
and it is not clearly defined yet in the wireless environment. In this paper, we propose a possible architecture, necessary components,
and related mechanisms for multimedia content delivery in the wireless network. The proposed architecture is based on content-centric
networking. We also present various simulation results to show that the proposed architecture and associated mechanisms work well in
the wireless network. |
