Abstract |
|
The triangular format graph was originally introduced as a means to visualize specialized
data sets, most commonly arising in the social sciences. The graphing paradigm
is defined, formalized, and extended to obtain a general method for displaying 4-
dimensional data sets whose points may be approximated by a hyperplane (distortions
introduced by the graphing process vanish as the approximation improves). The graphing
methodology is also analyzed to determine what, geometrically speaking, the distortions
introduced by the graphing process represent. |
