Abstract |
|
The aim of this study was to explore the role of Government Digital Platforms of Saudi Arabia in raising awareness among Saudi women about the demands of the labor market. This, in turn, impacts their self-development, preparation for the labor market, and the ability to find better job opportunities aligned with their skills and qualifications. The study is descriptive in nature and employs a quantitative media survey methodology, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool, applied to a purposive sample of 400 Saudi women who follow digital platforms related to the labor market.
The study yielded several important findings, the official government digital platforms to enhance their knowledge of labor market requirements and the training programs that prepare them for the market. They confirm the positive role of these platforms in expanding their knowledge.
Among the primary reasons the respondents browse the Unified National Platform, the first is “to verify the credibility of the information,” followed by “understanding of job requirements,” and third, “to discover available jobs and training opportunities on the platform.
The study also shows a strong positive correlation between the frequency of exposure to the platform and the increased awareness of the labor market requirements. The higher their awareness of labor market demands. This relationship was statistically significant with a p-value of 0.023, which is greater than 0.05. Furthermore, a positive and statistically significant correlation was found between the labor market requirements presented on the platform and the actual labor market demands as perceived by the respondents.
