Abstract |
|
The Gaza Strip, a small piece of land with a dense population, has long been at the epicentre of one of the world’s most complex and longstanding conflicts. The 2023/2024 war brought unprecedented devastation and loss to Gaza, with widespread destruction, civilian casualties, and the complete breakdown of essential infrastructure. Yet, amid the harsh realities of war and what many human rights organizations have labelled as genocidal conditions, Gaza has continued to be a source of incredible resilience, creativity, and inspiration.
This paper explores the streams of inspiration that emerge from Gaza in the face of genocide, reflecting on how the people of Gaza, despite unimaginable adversity, continue to inspire hope, unity, and a fight for justice.
