Abstract |

|
| In this paper, the dispersion of plane harmonic waves in a thin flat homogeneous transversely isotropic plate of finite width and infinite length permeated by a constant magnetic field is examined. The frequency equations corresponding to the magnetized symmetric and anti-symmetric modes of vibration of the plates are obtained in the closed form, some limiting and special cases of the frequency equations are then discussed and exhibied graphically. .
