Abstract
Approximating functions by matching their values at given points is a key concept in numerical analysis and various fields of mathematics. This technique is often used in interpolation and curve fitting. In this paper, we approximate a function by a new function which can be considered as a generalization of Lagrange and Hermite polynomials. The interpolation error is derived based on the conformable derivative.
