The Impact of Using Information Technology on Job Performance of Employees in the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Abstract
The present paper aims to address the importance of identifying the level of using information technology and job performance as well as identify the impact level of using information technology on job performance in the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach. The sample consisted of (400) male and female primary health workers in the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Many statistical methods, such as arithmetic averages, Pearson correlation coefficient, as well as simple and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze data. The results showed a positive correlation and a statistical function between the use of information technology and job performance in the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, the use of information technology explained (41.3%) of the variance in job performance. Also, the dimension of the physical components was the most expressive of job performance, where it explained (32.1%) of the variance in job performance, followed by the dimension of databases, which explained (30.6%) of the variance in job performance. The study recommends increasing interest in the usage of information technology in the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain because of its positive impact on improving the level of job performance. Moreover, giving concern to training and qualifying human resources to use information technology due to its positive impact on improving job performance.
