Abstract |
|
The present paper aims to investigate the impact of empowerment practices on organizational commitment in the Islamic banking sector in Bahrain. The study adopted the descriptive quantitative approach. The study involved (343) participants. However, (262) responses were received indicating that the response rate was (76.3%). Data were analyzed using SPSS (version 20). The researcher adopted descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation and linear regression analysis to answer the questions and examine the hypotheses. The results showed an effective level of empowerment and commitment in the Islamic banks. Moreover, there was no significant difference in the participants perception of the relationship between empowerment and commitment in the Islamic banks in Bahrain due to the demographic variables of gender, age, degree, position, and experience. The study recommends developing a high-level technological infrastructure that makes the information that workers need accessible and increasing management confidence among workers in a way that makes them share all data and information.
