Abstract |

|
| In this paper, a cubic transmutation approach, proposed by Rahman et al. [1], is used to introduce the cubic transmuted Burr-XII distribution. The distributional properties like moments, moment generating function, characteristic function, quantile function, reliability function and hazard rate function are discussed for the proposed distribution along with the distributions of different order statistics. The maximum likelihood estimation of the model parameters has been discussed for the proposed distribution. In order to investigate the applicability of the proposed distribution two real-life applications have been considered. |
