Abstract |

| In this paper, we have introduced a new generalization of the Exponentiated Pareto distribution named as the MG Exponentiated Pareto (MGEP) distribution based on MG transmutation map introduced by Kumar et al. (2017). Furthermore, we have derived some statistical properties of the MGEP distribution. The parameters for the proposed distribution is estimated using maximum likelihood method and the performance of estimators is studied by using simulation. An application of MGEP distribution to a real data set for the purpose of illustration is conducted.
