Abstract |

:We have introduced Prakaamy Quasi Shanker Distribution which is formulated as a mixture of one parameter
Prakaamy distribution (q) and Quasi Shanker distribution(q,2), where 2 is shape parameter andq is scale parameter. We
have then evolved various necessary statistical properties of Prakaamy Quasi Shanker Distribution. The reliability measures of proposed model are also derived and model parameters have been estimated by maximum likelihood estimation method. Flexibility of proposed model is shown in table 1 and hazard rate graph. We have computed Likelihood ratio statistic for testing the significance of mixing parameter. Finally, an application to real data sets is presented to examine the significance of newly introduced model.
