Abstract |

In this paper, we consider the peristaltic motion of Rivlin-Ericksen fluid with heat and mass transfer through porous medium
inside a symmetric vertical channel. Heat absorption, chemical reaction and external uniform magnetic field are taken in consideration.
This phenomenon is modulated mathematically by a system of partial differential equations which govern the motion of the fluid.
The momentum, energy and concentration equations of the fluid motion are illustrated with the appropriate boundary conditions and
transformed to non-dimensional form. The perturbation method was used to get the analytical solution under the assumption of long
wavelength and low Reynolds number. The velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are obtained as functions of the
physical parameters of the problem. The effects of wall properties and other various parameters on these distributions are illustrated
graphically. |
