Abstract |
|
In this article we present a two parametric new generalized information measure and corresponding to this new information measure, we define a new generalized average code-word length, then we show that the measures defined in this communication are particular cases of some well-defined measures that already exists in the literature of information theory and coding theory. We have also found the bounds of new generalized average code-word length in terms of new generalized information measure by using Kraft’s inequality, and the bounds found in this communication are verified by considering Huffman coding schemes using empirical data. The important properties of new information measure have also been studied. |
