Abstract |
|
In this paper, different methods to correct HPGe detector full-energy peak efficiency for Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) samples are presented. These methods include Monte Carlo method and analytical formulas. An analytical formula for the sample geometry correction has been derived. A comparison between the Monte Carlo and analytical calculations results were performed. The experiment carried out in this research showed that the Monte Carlo method and the derived formula are highly accurate methods for HPGe detector full-energy peak efficiency corrections for NAA samples. |
