| A new modified generalized linear failure rate distribution (NMGLFRD) with five parameters which generalizes the exponential-Weibull distribution, generalized Rayleigh distribution, modified Weibull distribution, Weibull distribution, generalized exponential distribution, exponential distribution, modified generalized Linear failure rate distribution, generalized linear failure rate distribution and linear failure rate distribution is proposed. Various properties of this new distribution are considered and expressions for its moments and moments of the order statistics are obtained. We derive the cumulative distribution function, reliability function, hazard function and stress-strength reliability function. The estimation of the model parameters is performed by the maximum likelihood method. The use of the proposed model is illustrated by application to real data. |
